Sierra Leone Bauxite Project Reevaluation Study

In the begining of 2010, Belevion successfully completed reserves evaluation for Sierra Mineral Holdings I's bauxite deposits in Sierra Leone.

The volume of works was titanic as Belevion indexed, catalogued and processed data gathered over 40 years exploration program.

The resulted comprehensive database will be a valuable asset for middle to long term exploitation planning.

Limestone Quality Assessment using Geophysical Survey

A thorough geophysical survey project was completed in December 2009 and February 2010 involving a Resistivity and Seismic survey combo for Lafarge's limestone deposits.

Resistivity and Seismic Surveys results show good fit, delineating high friability risk zones within unexploited areas as well as massive limestone bodies, confirming Geophysiscs as a cost effective tool for reserves quality assessment.

Development of deep IP arrays

In late 2009 Belevion began testing for deep IP arrays to survey targets burried at more than 500 meters.

Initial testing has proven succesful opening the opportunity to acquire a new IP transmitter able to penetrate more than 800 meters deep.

With current capabilities, Belevion had no trouble detecting 400+ meters depth targets expecting to reach 600 to 800 meters with the new equipment by the end of first quarter of 2010.

IP surveys for BARRICK Romania – BH Gold Project

In November - December 2009 BELEVION involved its IP team in IP gradient surveys to target gold mineralization in BH Project.

From the start, IP signal correlation with drill hole data showed a very good fit. As well, good fit with ground magnetic image allowed re-interpretation and re-defining new targets for future drilling stages.

Thus, the campain proved a success, IP and Resistivity revealing new targets up to 500 meters deep over a surface larger than 4 sqkm.

IP surveys for DEVA GOLD Certej Projects

Starting Early March 2009, BELEVION involved its 1st IP team in pole-dipole surveys to target gold mineralization in Certej Projects. From the start, IP signal correlated with drill hole data showed a very good fit. “On the fly” processing from data acquisition to 3D Inverted Model allowed the team lead by Filip Onescu to refocus on anomalous zones, maximizing survey efficiency.

An effective new pole-dipole array and specialized custom workflow made fast results possible. Mr. Mike Woodbury, DEVA GOLD’s Exploration Manager expressed to BELEVION’s IP Project Coordinator Filip Onescu, it’s “Thanks to your team and yourself, for the good quality work to date”.

Challenging results for South Highis Exploration Project - Romania, owned by HOQ Ltd.

Ground magnetic survey, doubled by spectrometry and soil sampling started in middle March 2009, for South Highis Exploration Project, north of Milova District, well known for Uranium veins mineralization.

Spectrometry survey intercepted from the start high U anomalous contents in soil sampling pits (up to a whooping 25 ppm). Ground magnetic survey partial results confirmed this anomalous area and, further more, revealed ineresting structural features.

Belevion involved in Romania’s Motorway Development

Belevion successfully completed geophysical surveys for geotechnical investigations in Corridor IV: Sibiu-Nadlac Motorway, rising above expectations, as stated by DIWI Consult.

Seismic and resistivity surveys proved to be valuable tools for detecting underground geological conditions in potential high risk areas. Further more, the new high resolution array developed by Belevion for resistivity measurements provided accurate results rivaling the classic seismic method.

High resolution arrays and fast custom developed programs turn geophysical survey into a valuable solution for geotechnical purposes.

Reliable results for Corbesti - Micanesti, Bratosin Hill and Rostoci Exploration Projects

Wide array of geological and geophysical exploration services involved in these projects, owned by Valhalla Resources and Barrick Romania, opened new potential targets for gold, copper and molly.

IP measurements were Belevion biggest asset in detecting and delineating high concentration sulphides sources, VMS and vein structure, in Corbesti-Micanesti Prospect.

Ground magnetic surveys mapped wide structural features, covering over 60 sqkm in Rostoci and Bratosin Hill Prospects. Newly acquired spectrometry and radiometry equipment was used to complete the exploration services for 2008.
